On 13 March 2024, the Ministry issues a stamp celebrating the first patent law, on the 550th anniversary; with tariff indication B.
The vignette reproduces, in the foreground, on a detail of the Statute of Patents issued on 19 March 1474 by the Senate of the Republic of Venice, the details of two historic Italian patents:
- the "System for fixing the engine to the tubular frame of a motorcycle and front and rear suspension of the same with adjustable flexibility" designed by Innocenti Soc. Gen. for the Metallurgical and Mechanical Industry, dating back to 4 April 1951;
- the "Kinetografo Alberini", a new camera designed by Filoteo Alberini, dating back to October 21, 1895.
The stamp is completed by the legends "550", "PRIMA LEGGE SUI BREVETTI A TUTELA DELLE INVENZIONI", the inscription "ITALIA" and the tariff indication "B".

The stamp is printed by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato S.p.A., in rotogravure; colors: five; paper: white, neutral coated, self-adhesive, non-fluorescent; grammage: 90 g/sqm; support: white paper, 80 gsm mono-silicone Kraft; adhesive: water-based acrylic type, distributed in quantities of 20 g/sqm (dry); paper size and print size: 40 x 48 mm; Tracing format: 47 x 54 mm; perforation: 9 made with die-cutting.
Characteristics of the leaflet:
The sheet contains the same stamp in the center of which it reproduces, in their entirety, the images of the page of the Statute of Patents and of the two historic Italian patents.
The sheet is completed by the legend "ON 9 MARCH 1474 THE SENATE OF THE REPUBLIC OF VENICE ISSUED THE FIRST PATENT LAW".
At the bottom right, there is the barcode for the automatic detection of stamps, on the left the monochrome MIMIT logo. Paper size: 130 x 180 mm.
