On 20 March 2024, the Ministry issues a commemorative stamp of the Guardia di Finanza Corps, on the 250th anniversary of its establishment.
Characteristics of the stamp and letter seals
Vignettes: on a gray background, with two diagonal bands in yellow and green, distinctive colors of the Guardia di Finanza Corps, the logo of the 250th Anniversary of the Corps is depicted, containing, in a modern stylization of the number "250", the insignia and the Italian tricolor; in the background the frieze depicting two crossed rifles, a hunter's cornet, a grenade with flame on the disc of which are engraved the letters "RI", an acronym for Italian Republic.
The stamp is completed by the inscription "ITALIA" and the tariff indication "B".
The four letter seals depict, respectively, from the top left clockwise:
a man in the 1774 uniform of the Light Troops Legion and a woman in the modern uniform of the Guardia di Finanza Corps;
a Griffin, a mythological animal with the body of a lion and the head of an eagle, a symbol of strength and wisdom, a central element of the heraldic coat of arms of the Corps, which rests its right front paw on the chest, representative of the Treasury;
a Griffin in stylized graphics flanked, on the right, vertically, by the motto designed for the 250th anniversary "IN TRADITION THE FUTURE";
a version of the heraldic coat of arms of the Guardia di Finanza, stylized in a modern key by the Fondazione Triennale di Milano. This emblem includes several elements: the mountain, the sea and the sky, natural environments where the Corps operates; the Griffin, a mythological animal, which, according to legend, watches over the protection of the Treasury, represented by the State coffers, and the turreted crown.
Each letter seal features the logo of the 250th anniversary of the Guardia di Finanza.

Print run: three hundred thousand copies with fifty thousand letter seals and one hundred and twenty-five thousand sheets, containing respectively one stamp and four letter seals for a further total of one hundred and twenty-five thousand stamps and five hundred thousand letter seals; tariff indication: B.

The stamp is printed by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato S.p.A., in rotogravure; colors: four; on white, neutral coated, self-adhesive, non-fluorescent paper; grammage: 90 g/sqm; support: white paper, 80 gsm mono-silicone Kraft; adhesive: water-based acrylic type, distributed in quantities of 20 g/sqm (dry); paper size and print size: 40 x 48 mm.; tracing format: 47 x 54; perforation: 9, made with die-cutting;
Characteristics of the sheet
The sheet contains, in the centre, a copy of the stamp surrounded by four letter seals positioned at the four corners, flanked by a monochromatic reproduction of the same stamp.
The sheet is completed by the monochrome logo of the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy at the bottom left and, on the right, the barcode for the automatic detection of stamps.
